About

We the patron/principal, Mohd. Waseem and the editor, Mohd. Imran present you the Annual Magazine of Anglo Arabic Sr. Sec. School, the oldest institution of Northern India.

BRIEF INTRODUCTION OF THE INSTITUTION

Anglo Arabic Sr. Sec. School is a co-educational govt.aided school. It was founded by Ghaziuddin Khan, a general Mughal emperor in 1960's and was originally named Madrasa Ghaziuddin after him. In the beginning only the Persian and Arabic languages were taught but when the Britishers were at the helm, they made Maths, Science and English as an indispensable part of the curriculum and erstwhile Madrasa was transformed into the Anglo Arabic College.

With the passage of time it started flourishing first as a school then as a Degree College. In 1947, at the time of division the institution went into oblivion. Mirza Mehmood Begg, an old student and a man of immense potential and great vision, literally resurrected a new lease of life to his alma mater which has been reduced to a relic by then. Today, this institution, in the form of Anglo Arabic Sr. Sec. School is imparting both classical and modern education. The list of its alumni includes a no. of well known personalities but the names of Sir Syed Ahmed Khan, Maulana Qasim Nanotvi, Maulana Altaf Hussain Hali, Master Ram Chander, and Jan Nisar Akhtar are worth mentioning.

Now this school is a recognised Govt.Aided muslim minority institution where the subjects of all the three disciplines namely science, commerce and humanities are taught through English, Hindi and Urdu medium.
